Westhampton Garden Club

As affiliates of the Garden Club of America, National Garden Clubs, Inc. and Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, WGC members share a love for gardening and floral design through study at workshops, seminars, plant exchanges and field trips. Our community projects include maintaining a number of public gardens, creating topiary arrangements for East End Hospice patients, and granting an annual scholarship to a Westhampton Beach High School senior interested in furthering his/her education in a horticulture-related field. The Club provides hands-on upkeep and financial support to five public gardens. From spring through autumn, WGC teams tend the Memorial Gates Garden at St. Mark’s Church and the historical garden at the Quogue Library, both open to the public.  WGC established and funds the ongoing maintenance of the Westhampton Village Green and the Quogue Village Green. At the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, club members have worked collaboratively planning the Butterfly Garden since 2003. Funds to support the Club’s community projects are raised through a biennial House and Garden tour, which will be held this year on Friday, July 15th from 10 AM through 3 PM.  The Tour includes  beautiful homes and exceptional gardens in the Westhampton, Quogue and Remsenburg  areas.  Tickets are $75 each and may be obtained online at www.westhamptongardenclub.org as well as at Lynn’s Stationery in Westhampton Beach and The Lily Pad in Quogue.  On the day of the Tour, tickets may be bought at the Quogue Library.   An optional luncheon will be served at the Westhampton Country Club for an additional $40.
