- Failure of the individual to comply with this procedure and/or to file/appeal the grievance/decision within the prescribed timelines will result in the dismissal of the grievance, with prejudice.
- If a decision is not communicated within the specified time limits, the grievance will be deemed to have been denied.
- The parties may agree, in writing, to extend any of the time frames set forth in this Grievance Procedure.
- The aggrieved individual will, within 14 calendar days of when the individual knew or should have known about the complaint about the matter, submit a written grievance to the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors or designee on the attached form. All information must be fully completed on the form at the time of submission, or the grievance will not be further processed and will be deemed dismissed.
- The request will set forth the specific nature of the grievance, the policy provision(s) allegedly violated, all relevant facts relating to the grievance, and the relief sought.
- The Board of Directors may direct, in its sole non-reviewable discretion, that the aggrieved individual attend aninformal meeting where the individual will, with or without representatives at their discretion, appear and present oral and written statements supplementing their position in their The hearing will be held no laterthan the next scheduled Board meeting of the Board of Directors.
- The Board of Directors will render a written determination on the grievance within 14 calendar days after the Board meeting in which the grievance is heard and will communicate the same to the grievant. The written decision is final and binding.
